where architecture from the Meiji and Taisho eras still remains.
Sakaniwa opened in 2020 as a shoe and bag repair store based on the concept of an
era when the Japanese leather industry merged with foreign technology.
It has been repairing foreign brand shoes and bags for more than 10 years.
Sakaniwa is also the personal workshop of Toshiki Shinoda,
a leather art creator and leather craftsman.
